“Reparations” is a word sparking public curiosity — and controversy. The reparations conversation has moved into action as politicians, academic institutions and religious denominations across the country have recognized their role and responsibility to help right the massive wrongs of slavery and its aftermath.
Join us as we explore what “reparation” means, how Evanston’s history of exclusion and discrimination calls for repair, what is happening with our current Reparations programs — and consider how we, as people of faith, are called to act at this significant moment in history.
